Resident was founded in 2011 by Simon James and Scott Bridgens as New Zealand's first globally focused design house. Its furniture and lighting combine clever ideas with tactile detail. Each piece is conceived in New Zealand and made by specialist partners: lighting in Auckland, timber joinery in Lithuania, and upholstery in London, Los Angeles and Melbourne.
