Made in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Zanat is a fourth-generation family business from Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Nikšić family has practised the town's distinctive hand-carving tradition for generations. Konjic woodcarving was added to UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2018, and Zanat brings it into contemporary furniture and objects.

Sustainability: wood comes from sustainably managed sources nearby and from old fruit trees in private orchards, with three trees planted for every one cut. Offcuts become smaller pieces and sawdust fuels its kilns and heating, so no wood is wasted. Zanat pays above-average wages and has trained more than 60 young carvers.
